Q: What does "All Veggie Diet" mean?
A: Our chickens only eat 100% vegetarian feed. They eat feed made with whole grains. In fact, on our packaging, you'll find a unique USDA seal verifying that our chickens are vegetarian fed. And, HARVESTLAND® Purely All-Natural Chicken is the only chicken that carries this seal. Look for the USDA verification seal on every package.

Q: Do Harvestland Chickens receive any antibiotics, hormones or steroids?
A: No hormones or steroids are added*, and no antibiotics ever.

Q: What does "Farm-Raised" mean?

Q: How are Harvestland chickens raised?
A: Our chickens are humanely raised. All of our birds are grown in temperature-controlled houses, protected from the elements, predators and disease. Our poultry are free to move about with access to food and water. Our lighting and ventilation programs maximize bird comfort and minimize stress, creating an ideal environment for growing healthy birds.

Q: Where are your chickens raised?
A: Our chickens are raised by our family farmers throughout Kentucky. All of our farmers are passionate about what they do. Learn more about our Family Farmers.

Q: What is your company’s animal welfare policy?
A: We share a belief that it is our responsibility to treat the animals in our care with respect. Our poultry welfare program combines principles from the National Chicken Council and our own "Best Practices" to create scientifically sound standards for the humane treatment of poultry. All of our Family Farmers, and all associates who handle live poultry, receive poultry welfare training.
